Google now targets testing video ads specifically featuring YouTube. Searches. Since YouTube, ranked above Yahoo since it was gaining more poularity regarding search performed on their respective sites, and since the figures are mounting, it doesn’t surprise me that Google has made its decision.

This service is identical to AdWords and it may provide Google with profit for ads search. Youtube’s spokesman states:

“We are constantly testing a wide range of options to find the right advertising format, for the right content, for the right video experience on YouTube — whether you’re watching short videos or long videos, uploading videos, or even searching for videos on our site.”

As YouTube has struggled to monetize its widely popular site, this might come as a change. Though one can’t expect the search ads to match up to AdWords since YouTube is solely into entertainment category, which is video search.
